This all-stainless steel blunt-tipped liquid culture needle is extra-long and extra-wide, measuring 6 inches in length with an extra-wide 12 gauge hole size. This needle is intended to be used with an open jar of liquid culture. Do not attempt to use this needle to puncture any type of self-healing port or material, as the wide gauge and blunt-tip of this needle are not suitable for such applications.
The needle features a luer lock fitting, ensuring a secure and safe connection to any standard syringe. This all-stainless steel needle is autoclavable, making it suitable for repeated use after proper sterilization. Its long length and wide gauge are particularly advantageous for reaching deep into large jars of thickened liquid culture, allowing for efficient and precise extraction.
This is a nonsterile needle and should be sterilized before first use.
